Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Oodles of Stuff Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and looks after your personal information when you visit our website or place an order with us. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Oodles of Stuff Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal information. We are a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15161087) with our registered office at 12 Old Cottages, Horsham Road, Findon Village, West Sussex, BN14 0TQ.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we use your data, please email info@oodlesofstuffltd.co.uk.
The information we collect
When you place an order through our site, we collect the following information so we can fulfil your order:
- Your name
- Your delivery and (if different) billing address
- Your email address
- A telephone number, if you choose to provide one
Payment is processed by PayPal. We do not see, store or have access to your card or bank details — PayPal handles all of that securely on its own systems. PayPal will only share with us a confirmation that payment has cleared, plus the order details you have entered.
If you contact us by email, we will keep a record of that correspondence so we can respond and refer back to it if needed.
Why we use your information (lawful basis)
- To fulfil your order — this is necessary for the performance of our contract with you (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To respond to your enquiries — this is in our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) so we can answer your questions and run our business.
- To meet our legal obligations — for example, keeping accounting records for HMRC (Article 6(1)(c)).
- To send you marketing — we do not currently send marketing emails. If we begin doing so in the future, we will only ever email you with your prior consent (Article 6(1)(a)) and you will be able to unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share your information with
We share the minimum information necessary with the following third parties to fulfil your order:
- PayPal — to process your payment. PayPal’s own privacy policy is at paypal.com.
- Royal Mail (or other delivery partners) — to deliver your order. We share your name, address and a contact detail.
- Our accountants and HMRC — to meet our tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep your information
We keep order records for six years after the end of the financial year in which the order was placed. This is required by HMRC for tax purposes. Email correspondence is kept for as long as is reasonably needed to deal with your enquiry.
International transfers
Some of our service providers (notably PayPal) may store data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, those transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards under UK GDPR.
Cookies
Our website does not currently set any of its own cookies. Some third-party services we link to (such as PayPal at checkout) will set their own cookies on their own websites. For more information, see our Cookie Policy.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information (subject to our legal obligation to keep order records)
- Object to or restrict our processing of your information
- Ask for your information in a portable format
- Withdraw any consent you have given us at any time
To exercise any of these rights, please email info@oodlesofstuffltd.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
